[ It'd been a little longer than she'd wanted to wait for this, but she knew that she and Ange both were pretty close to Steve. He had a lot of friends, but Yuri wasn't close enough to most of them to really worry about inviting them over to just.. well, talk. Make sure they were okay. At the very least, she could do that with Ange. She would've gone over to Ange's world, but that would've run the risk of any of the other people from Rokkenjima on the community coming and bothering them.

Not that she'd even told Ange too far in advance that she was coming over. A quick private message via the comm that she was coming for her was all the notice Ange would get before Yuri would arrive and worldhop (now that she'd managed to fix it, anyway) her over to the afterlife. ]

[ Really, she should be used to this by now. Yuri always does what she wants with hardly any warning in advance - so she can't even really be surprised anymore when she spots the message and then Yuri herself only a moment later. Not that she necessarily has anything against getting away from the witches and all for a bit, but still, it's not as if she particularly wants to face people a lot in general. Let alone now after recent events.

But maybe that's why even moreso than usual she's keeping up a strong front - linefacing as usual as if nothing is up at all. ]

You could've given a little more warning in advance. [ dusting off her skirt just because worldhops out of nowhere, why. ]

You would've had time to come up with a reason that you couldn't then, right?

[ She knows Ange is probably being a big pouty buttface right now. She doesn't really blame her for it, Yuri actually got to watch Steve freeze, so she knows how much this hurts. ]

[ Not that Ange isn't a big pouty buttface at least 80% of the time in general.. But yes, Yuri does know her too well, and that's what Ange realises too when she hears those words that are spot on. She really would have come up with some sort of excuse, really, anything to not have to face other people. ]

So what? If I don't want to come, then I don't want to come.

Except you need to come. We're going camping.

[ There is no other option Ange!! What are you gonna do, worldhop out? |D ]

[ Yeah, by now she's fairly trapped. Yuri's the one out of the two of them with the worldhop, after all, so she can't really.. go anywhere.. especially not in a world like the afterlife. ]

.. Camping. [ But that doesn't mean she isn't going to repeat the word like it's the most ridiculous idea ever. ]

Camping. [ It is a ridiculous idea. Yuri doesn't care, really. Seeing Ange have to get close to nature is kind of a funny idea, since she always imagines Ange being in all the luxury of being a rich person and never going out with anyone like that.

So, camping. ]

Don't worry, I grabbed a change of clothes for both of us for the morning, and swimsuits in case you decide you want to go swimming.

Is this just another one of your impulsive ideas?

[ She's sighing a little, but it mostly comes forth from the fact that once she's sad she just wants to go hide somewhere by herself and never be social again.. Going camping with someone isn't really part of that plan. Although it's true that she's pretty much always been in luxury, yes, she hasn't even done it before. ]

No, this one was actually pretty well thought out. Just trust me, Ange. [ There's a brief pause, before she goes and grabs Ange's hand. Yuri was already constantly terrified that everyone she knew on this community was going to die, she knew that Ange probably was feeling the same way. She's already watched Ange die and Ange got lucky. She'd watched Steve freeze, slowly, while they talked about stupid things like dancing. She knew what was supposed to happen to Battler if she couldn't stop it. But there was one guarantee she knew she could offer, at least with herself.

I'm already dead, I'm not going anywhere.

[ Ange wouldn't either, while she was here. This camping trip wasn't entirely about making Ange feel better. Just knowing that Ange was somewhere where she would be safe for a little while too made Yuri feel a little safer as well. ]

[ .. There's surprise for a moment when her hand is grabbed, enough for the deadpan and lineface to actually slip for a slight moment to allow said surprise to enter her expression. Really, beyond all the ways she might talk about Yuri and her weird (and mostly painful for the people around her) plans, she does trust the other girl. Yuri's already helped her before, after all, spent time with her..

Is she truly getting so afraid of ending up all alone that she's turning it into a self-fulfilling prophecy by turning people away since losing them might hurt in the future? ]

.. If you say so.. I'll trust you. [ her voice is a little softer, even if right after she still makes a brave attempt at sounding a little stronger, even if it doesn't fully succeed. ] If I end up finding a bug anywhere on my body I'm going to murder something.

Fortunately for you, the only animals that are really here are fish. I'm not even sure what they eat, but I've never been bugged by bugs. Which is kind of weird, since there aren't even cats or dogs. You'd think if they wanted us to move on faster, they'd be all about offering fluffy friends.

[ But that probably prevents Shiina from disappearing right off the face of this world from the cute. So it's not all bad if Shiina gets to stay. ]

Let's get going! [ She releases Ange's hand and starts heading off toward the forest after picking up a pretty large bag and handing one over to Ange as well. ] You get to carry this one.

Lucky me. [ At least that statement is full of sarcasm, even if it's more a pathetic sort of sarcasm as some sort of last resort.

But she does take the bag from Yuri, not actually complaining about it despite her earlier remark. She's just following after the other girl, but the moment she fears she might sink back into her thoughts and get lost and miserable in them, she (almost carefully for her standards) speaks up again though. ]

.. Do you do this kind of thing often?

[ Yuri turns her head and looks at Ange, a second later turning around altogether to walk backward, apparently not watching where she's going even though they're heading into the forest. ]

Go camping? Not really. I'd never go without the SSS usually either.

[ It's okay, Ange's watching out for her now.. She can see what's 'behind' Yuri now, after all, so she'll call out if the other girl is about to run into a tree. ]

So I'm a special exception. I should feel honored.

[ Excellent. Be her other set of eyes, Ange.. ]

One of very few. Probably the only person I've gone camping alone with.

[ They're a team now!! Semi-depressed camping superhero team.. ]

Because you don't have to worry about me trying anything funny while we're alone, right?

[ She's not actually worried about that anymore.. ]

Well the SSS hasn't done anything weird with me yet. And Battler.. [ Uhhhhhh... ] W-Well, he wouldn't do anything weird.

[ this is said with quite possibly the most flat tone ever. ]

I am not! [ Most surprised face. And is still blushing. ]

[ As if you can deny it while you're still blushing, Yuri..!! ]

I'm sorry, in that case I'll just assume our definitions of 'blushing' aren't the same and just say that your face is getting red.

[ Let's just.. phrase it this way... ]

Battler wouldn't do anything that I didn't give him permission to. There's nothing to worry about. And only you're allowed to know that, okay? The only other person who got to was Steve and that's just because he.. [ Shakes her head ] Anyway, I'm telling you because he's your brother. [ Yuri you didn't even say anything. ]

[ give her a moment to just.. stare.

seriously, Yuri, did you have to put it that way-- well, not like it wasn't sort of obvious between the two of them either way, but it's actually like that for sure, huh? She can assume what would fall under that 'anything' if she's looking like this, after all.

Whatever, let the two of them have their fun. ]
