tenminutes: (I really love pinwheels.)
[ The beach! It'd been a great day today. It'd been a long time since she'd felt this refreshed. Probably since she was a little kid, but since she'd closed herself off after that, it wasn't like she had been going out to a ton of places that were filled with people.

That idiot had gotten her to though. You know, after the massive amounts of embarrassment of having a red-headed moron show up to her classroom every day when school got out to ask if he could walk her home or if she'd go get coffee with him... It wasn't until the other students in her class started calling him her "escort service" that she finally agreed on the condition that he stop coming to her class every damn day. After she'd finally started talking to him to do more than just yell at him or tell him to go away or argue with him, she let herself get to know him. Yuri had let herself get to know him and eventually she'd started caring about him and now..

Now when she was at home on the weekends she actually hoped he would call her like he did today and ask her to go to some ridiculous place out of the blue. In this case, right in front of the great, deep blue.

Yuri laughed a little as she pulled a second towel over her, one separating her and the sandy beach beneath her and she looked over at her idiot. She'd always thought it'd be better to be alone, but after so much time trying, Battler had finally gotten through to her and she was glad for it. Even if everything before she'd met him wasn't enough to make her smile anything but practiced, he'd at least made her able to smile for real. Yuri sat up and grabbed her water bottle from the ice chest between them. ]

Are we going to do something dumb like watch the sunset together?

[ He always did like that corny crap. ]
tenminutes: (Fuuu.. It was a really good joke okay?)
[ She'd decorated the parlor with goofy Christmas decorations, a Christmas tree, and had spent all morning delivering presents and people to various places with free worldhops. Christmas wasn't normally such a big deal to her, but having a lot of time on her hands meant she could spend extra time doing all sorts of things.

As for right now, though, that time was past. It was evening, and now.. Now was that dinner she'd promised Battler. She'd only returned a short while ago. Yuri wasn't a great cook, despite her many other talents, so it was mostly just well-arranged restaurant food. By well arranged, of course, that was something she'd almost given up on because the stupid romantic atmosphere was almost too much. A red candle with holly at the bottom in the center of the table, their food put on plates instead of in the takeout boxes she'd brought the food back in. She'd changed clothes from the goofy Santa outfit she'd been wearing to something a little bit nicer. It was still weird not being in her uniform, but it wasn't something that she needed to do anymore. She'd already "graduated," technically.

Yuri shifted slightly, fiddling with a small box in her hand, wrapped up like a small present. After a second, she tucked the box underneath the chair she'd set out for herself, across from the one she'd set out for Battler, then left the room to, quite rudely, yell down the hall. ]

Battler, get over here!
tenminutes: (So I'm just going to cry moetears.)
[ It was done. Everything was done, and she didn't... feel it anymore. That horrid pain. They'd forgiven her, told her she hadn't needed to fight anymore. And now.. now.. She couldn't stop crying. Everything seemed like it was okay and she couldn't stop the tears from flowing and finally letting herself just feel.

Almost as if on queue, one of the broken screens flickered a bit and popped up with the community. It didn't record her, it didn't do anything. It was just there in case she needed it, or that's what it seemed like. Yuri crawled over to the screen, wiping a few tears from her eyes and trying to take a deep breath as she pulled up the private message function to reach Battler. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself enough for a voice message to him, but her voice was still weak. It was too obvious that she was crying and couldn't stop. Even her breathing wasn't steady. ]

Battler, j-just come. No-- [ She fought back a sob. This was probably pretty pathetic, but since it was him.. she didn't really care if he knew that she needed him right now. ] Now!

[ That was it. She just had to hope that he wasn't too busy to come just.. hold her. The voice message clicked off and she buried her face in her hands. ]
tenminutes: (My plan's been foiled!)
[ After a couple of conversations, Yuri had been thinking about a couple of things. Definitely nowhere near what Shooter had brought up with her, but.. after that conversation on top of what Steve had mentioned, she was more than trying to think about it. Even if no one knew anything was going on besides Steve and Ange, she still wanted to know.

So, you know, naturally that means worldhopping over without a heads up and peeking around until she found Battler. ]
tenminutes: (Kanade you so cute.)
[ It'd been a little longer than she'd wanted to wait for this, but she knew that she and Ange both were pretty close to Steve. He had a lot of friends, but Yuri wasn't close enough to most of them to really worry about inviting them over to just.. well, talk. Make sure they were okay. At the very least, she could do that with Ange. She would've gone over to Ange's world, but that would've run the risk of any of the other people from Rokkenjima on the community coming and bothering them.

Not that she'd even told Ange too far in advance that she was coming over. A quick private message via the comm that she was coming for her was all the notice Ange would get before Yuri would arrive and worldhop (now that she'd managed to fix it, anyway) her over to the afterlife. ]
tenminutes: (Fuuu.. It was a really good joke okay?)
[ After worldhopping Ange over to Steve's world, Yuri realized a flaw in her plan to originally ditch them so they could be alone: She didn't have a cell phone to claim someone was calling her. Maybe she could go off to get popcorn halfway through still... oh well.

Yuri sighs and adjusts her skirt. It's not her usual uniform, and despite that she had an officer's uniform that she got from Steve, she knew that Ange didn't have one so she wasn't going to make Ange be the odd one out and showed up in this outfit instead. It's got polkadots, close enough right? ]
tenminutes: (as;ldjghasjgka STOP IT BATTLER)
[ Yuri hadn't been 100% sure about this after the last time they'd spoken, but... they were pretending that never happened, so it was going to be completely fine. Completely. Which is why a private computer lesson on her laptop for Battler? Way okay.

There wasn't enough room at her desk for two people to sit unless someone sat on someone's lap and that wasn't happening (no matter how many laptop puns could be made) and there was no way they were both going on the bed... so the floor seemed like the best place for them to both do this. Yep. Floor. ]
tenminutes: (It never actually snows here ever.)
[ As soon as Ange had been able to get a worldhop, Yuri had prepared for her. Her discussion with Battler... hadn't really started or ended well, so she was definitely more down than she should've been for Ange coming over, but she wasn't going to bring that up if she could avoid it. Somehow she had her doubts that Ange was just going to let it go, but..

She would still try to smile. That was what made someone human, right? The ability to keep smiling, even after tons of bad things had happened. Yuri wasn't going to let it get to her. Not if she could help it. Ange just got back from the dead and was, somehow, alive. She didn't need to deal with Yuri's problems on top of that.

Of course, the waiting game was another thing that involved gratuitous interest in her laptop. Tetris was, after all, the most fun one could have without internet access (beside the community, of course) while looking like they were actually working on something intense. ]
tenminutes: (Unlike me I'm a genius. Glasses see?)
[ Yuri really had no idea what she was doing. Her original intent in talking to Dead Master hadn't, at all, been to invite her over to make Valentine's Day chocolates. She didn't even know what she was going to do with the chocolates that she was going to make, it's not like she had anyone to give them to and she didn't want anyone to give them to.

Still, she was doing this and having the three women come over to make chocolates. Honestly, she was kind of hoping that Morrigan had some ideas on how to do this.

At the very least, she'd cleared out one of the home economics classrooms. (Read: Literally kicked a class out and persuaded the teacher to let it slide for today.) She'd gotten everyone else started on a mission to keep Angel occupied so she didn't worry about the classroom being seized, so that was taken care of. Right now she was looking for ingredients in the cabinets while she was waiting. It wasn't long before she found a grotesquely oversized bag of straight chocolate bars in one of the (previously) locked cabinets and started climbing onto the counter to reach it. (Naturally it was in one of the higher up ones, so even if students found it they couldn't get to it.) Her concern that they were supposed to be meeting in a few minutes was definitely lacking. ]
