And a guy shouldn't judge a woman's strength by what body parts they have. I can guarantee you no matter what your strength level is I can beat you in an actual fight, so we should probably stick to the arm wrestling for fun.
I really need to know the question, because if it's about respecting you I can do that but if my hand's going to explode when I'm trying to pull you up from a cliff because you accidentally fell off, then to have your back I need to know an effective way to do it.
[Yata grits his teeth, slightly conflicted over how to answer.]
Your hand's not gonna explode, okay?
[...that sounds so dumb to say. He'll take the possible exaggeration over any other kind of response, though—he is a man, okay, he's not going to admit that he's actually just a huge virgin who doesn't know how to deal with girls at all.]
Whatever your reasons are, they're yours. If you want to tell me someday that's fine, but I'm not going to pressure you about it.
[ Accelerator's not the only one she's dealt with that doesn't like to be touched. Of course, those reason were pretty different than Yata's. Not that she knew. ]
[ It took Inaba a while to look over some of the network posts to figure out who had the most information about the afterlife here, and then she found something rather recent. She didn't comment on it, because she knew that she would make herself look pretty bad as a first impression, especially since Taichi ended up calling her by first name. Which is something she's rather sure about and it disturbs her greatly.
Not that she's going to say anything about it yet, because there's a lot more important things to deal with.
But, nevertheless, she'll shoot a text message. It's not that hard to do that, at least, especially when the convenience of having everyone listed under contacts is there. ]
I heard that you're one of the people who have been in the afterlife the longest. Can you tell me anything about this "atomic restructuring"?
[ Since it seems important to her and can be rather useful in the future. More information means more power to her, after all. And that's something that she needs, regardless of how long or short she's been in the afterlife.
[ Yuri stares at this text. It isn't as though atomic restructuring is the easiest thing in the world to do. A lot of people suck at it, even if they're told how to do it, and Yuri's neither in the state of mind or in free time to be able to want to test how quick and apt a learner this person is. ]
There are a lot of people who know how to do it by now, I'll set you up with one of them. I'd help you myself but given that I've been out of everything lately, I need to focus on catching up so that the SSS can make its next move. I'll definitely find you someone though.
[Remember how Yata said he'd figure out that watch thing in case he ever got caught by those shadows? Well, that happened. It took a little while—the only experience he really had with taking things apart or putting them back together was with his skateboard, so on top of the atomic restructuring thing, this was definitely a learning experience. Still, with so much time on his hands here, it wasn't a problem to figure out! He's definitely done tougher things before.
Anyway! He doesn't try to deliver it personally (he's such a wimp), but he will leave it in the mailbox of the house Yuri's been staying in with a simple note attached:
for yurippe -from yata
If she were to investigate it, she'd find that it functions like a normal watch, even though it probably looks a little fancier than that. Whatever, it's close enough, he thinks it should still get the job done if anything happens.]
