RL with Battler
[ She'd decorated the parlor with goofy Christmas decorations, a Christmas tree, and had spent all morning delivering presents and people to various places with free worldhops. Christmas wasn't normally such a big deal to her, but having a lot of time on her hands meant she could spend extra time doing all sorts of things.
As for right now, though, that time was past. It was evening, and now.. Now was that dinner she'd promised Battler. She'd only returned a short while ago. Yuri wasn't a great cook, despite her many other talents, so it was mostly just well-arranged restaurant food. By well arranged, of course, that was something she'd almost given up on because the stupid romantic atmosphere was almost too much. A red candle with holly at the bottom in the center of the table, their food put on plates instead of in the takeout boxes she'd brought the food back in. She'd changed clothes from the goofy Santa outfit she'd been wearing to something a little bit nicer. It was still weird not being in her uniform, but it wasn't something that she needed to do anymore. She'd already "graduated," technically.
Yuri shifted slightly, fiddling with a small box in her hand, wrapped up like a small present. After a second, she tucked the box underneath the chair she'd set out for herself, across from the one she'd set out for Battler, then left the room to, quite rudely, yell down the hall. ]
Battler, get over here!

[he snaps his fingers, and a present appears in his hand. He moves to give it to her. It's nothing too special, he got her another headband is all. Same type though, just a different kind of ribbon and color.]
no subject
Do I look weird in different colors?
no subject
[he thinks she looks good in anything though.]
no subject
[ Ahaha.. She doesn't move to get it though. Not yet. In fact she's staying quiet for a second. Got to organize her thoughts since if she gives it to him without saying anything, it's going to be stupidly confusing. ]
no subject
My present?
no subject
Shut up and don't interrupt me, okay?
[ And with that, she's going to start talking, turning her eyes back to Battler. ]
I'm not going to marry you. That's not something I can do, no matter how many people try to tell me that I should or that I want to or all kinds of things. There are a lot of reasons for that and I'm not going to go over them all because I think you already understand why. That's why...
[ She pauses, then holds the gift out to Battler. ]
That's why I got you this. Because.. I do love you. If I could or thought it was a good idea, I'd probably be proposing to you right now and you'd be complaining about how you didn't get to do it and all sorts of weird gentlemanly crap that I'd end up laughing about because I think it's cute when you get flustered but--
[ Rambling. Okay, stop. ]
I want you to know that I want to be with you every minute until I can't be here anymore. So I promise, as long as I'm around, I'm going to be by your side. What's in that box is a promise, okay? From me. If you want to accept it, I've got one just like it so... [ She's just going to trail off right now. It's obvious that she's a little nervous, but she knows it's the right thing to do and what she wants to do. That much is obvious by her not having broken eye contact with him the whole time. ]

This was all... coming out of no where. Well, not really, she was just stating things they had talked about before to one another, stuff that they knew already, but the fact that she was talking about marriage, or maybe the lack of, was something that got him listening to her seriously.
He would marry her in a heartbeat if he thought it was okay, it's why he had made that deal with Bern, that miracle that he had asked for as long as he stayed out of the 7th game. Still though... this was all just...
Battler went for the present, going to open it and grab the ring inside, looking at it. He nods to himself.]
...Yeah, sounds good to me. I promise that too you know, we're not married but we're promising to stay right by each other, I like the sound of that.
no subject
Sorry it's nothing super fancy. [ She smiles. ] But they match, so.. put yours on and when you put them like this.. [ She reaches her hand out to lace her fingers with one of Battler's hands across the table. ] They'll make two wings that go together.
no subject
Yeah.... it's a really good idea, I like them a lot.
[He moves to look at her, and already Battler is leaning in a little closer to her.]

Merry Christmas.
no subject
Merry Christmas to you too.

If you want to resize them magically for another finger I won't stop you either. Just so you know. I was kind of guessing and I figured if it was too big for your pinky, then you could fit it on your ring finger, or so forth... A-And you're allowed to wear it in public, too. [ Like that was a question, Yuri.. ]

[a grin.]
Thanks a lot Yuri.
