RL with Ange

[ As soon as Ange had been able to get a worldhop, Yuri had prepared for her. Her discussion with Battler... hadn't really started or ended well, so she was definitely more down than she should've been for Ange coming over, but she wasn't going to bring that up if she could avoid it. Somehow she had her doubts that Ange was just going to let it go, but..

She would still try to smile. That was what made someone human, right? The ability to keep smiling, even after tons of bad things had happened. Yuri wasn't going to let it get to her. Not if she could help it. Ange just got back from the dead and was, somehow, alive. She didn't need to deal with Yuri's problems on top of that.

Of course, the waiting game was another thing that involved gratuitous interest in her laptop. Tetris was, after all, the most fun one could have without internet access (beside the community, of course) while looking like they were actually working on something intense. ]

[ Well.. to be honest, Ange would rather have Battler falling in love with Yuri rather than Beato. That witch has done nothing but hurting her, taking her family away from her, not to mention hurting Battler too, and no matter what is actually going on here, Ange's not sure if she can ever forgive that witch for all that. While on the other hand, Yuri is practically her best friend and she knows how happy those two were before in their interactions when all of this hadn't exploded yet, so.. ]

I'm not getting any funny ideas. [ shrug. ] And Battler onii-chan won't be mad at you forever. [ not if Ange can help it, at least.. ]

It'll be a lot easier if he stays mad at me.

Both of you are just being stubborn idiots about this.

[ look who's saying that, Ange.. ]

If I get reincarnated and the community thinks it's really funny to let that person have access, he'll have to deal with me not even knowing who he is. If it's someone who's just a friend, they'll understand and they can deal but that moron keeps saying he loves me even though I've told him a hundred times that there's no way in hell it's going to happen.

I don't care if I'm being stubborn or stupid, it's not happening and it's going to be a lot easier on both of us if he just stays mad, loves Beatrice, and maybe he can forgive me eventually but I don't want it happening before he can find someone else to have feelings for. I can't do anything for him.

[ To be honest part of Ange is just.. getting tired of this talk, because she knows both Battler and Yuri will just keep telling her the same things over and over and being stubborn and just.. difficult. Ugh.

Maybe that's exactly why she seems a little dismissive instead now, just keeping walking. ]

[ Yuri crosses her arms, obviously picking up on Ange's attitude. ]

I'm sorry for being dead and I'm sorry I feel guilty for even thinking I could have feelings for anyone if things were different. It's not like I had a choice in any of this. If you don't understand that, then get mad or whatever, I don't care.

[ It's not like she wants to feel this way. That's probably the closest she'll ever get to openly admitting that she wants to be near Battler, too. ]

[denies]

[ She's not mad, okay, just.. dismissive since whatever she says won't be picked up either way, it's the same when she talks to Battler.. ]

Yuri, if both you and onii-chan wanted something like that [ despite maybe being temporarily distracted, like Battler now ] then it would find a way, somehow.

[ ... a groan. ]

That's pretty much the sappiest thing I've ever said, so let's cut it out before it becomes a really cheap B-movie. Besides, I'm a Ushiromiya like you said, I'm stubborn enough to keep sticking to my own point.

[ Yuri nods. This wasn't going to get them anywhere, but.. she did have one more thing she wanted to say. She's obviously hesitating a bit. It's not like she ever talks about this, especially not to someone so close to Battler, but..

Even if she puts aside everything on her side of things, all of the problems with her being dead or guilty or in too much pain to deal with that, she's still convinced that there's no way in hell she's first choice, because of things that happened even outside of their argument. ]

Even if that was true and I actually wanted something like that, though... It's not like being told that I'm loved a bunch feels good when I know he's just going to run off to Beatrice when he remembers.

[ A brief pause before she continues, obviously unsure if she should even be talking about this. ]

Even talking about something completely unrelated when we weren't fighting, she was the first person he thought of. Not me. Even if I actually wanted something with him, I wouldn't want it if I wasn't even the one he thinks of. Who the hell would want something like that?

[denies]

[ Well, it's a legit point to bring up, either way. And Ange can understand why she'd feel that way, it's tough to be pushed aside like that (especially since she gets pushed aside by Battler for Beato later on too but ssshh).. But that's exactly why she looks at the girl, expression somewhat determined. ]

You said it before, right? The community changes things. I'm the living example of that, considering I never would have met Battler onii-chan again after all that if it wasn't for this place. [ Not to mention that, in a way, taught her what happiness is. Thanks to the people here, thanks to Yuri, too. ]

That is something that could change as well. I'm not going to say that you should not consider that a problem if you do want to go for it, since you would probably just deny the latter either way, but the Yuri Nakamura I know wouldn't go down without a fight, no matter the situation.

[tenminutes]

The Yuri Nakamura you know's the one who's been trying to stop this from happening from the beginning, you know.

[ Yuri pauses. If she'd just accepted him when he'd fallen for her, she probably wouldn't have to worry about Beatrice like that at all. Even so... she couldn't bring herself to let that happen. ]

I still don't even want to have feelings for him. Or anyone. It's nothing against him personally. [ It's obvious that she's not saying something. Beyond just not disappearing.. there's something else there that she doesn't want to touch on. Not with Ange, or anyone else. ]

I don't even want to care about my friends that much, honestly. My allies.. it's not just Battler.

[denies]

Because you think you might disappear?

[ Ange herself can't think of any other reason, either way - sure, she knows about not wanting to care about people, but once they enter the territory of friends she can't help but care for them, right? Maybe even to an overly clingy point even if it isn't as obvious on the outside, the way she treats her family shows as much. ]

[tenminutes]

Not just that. I don't even think that's the primary reason.

[ The other one.. the only person she's ever told is Battler and she didn't even give him a chance to respond to it. ]

[denies]

And you're probably not going to tell me.

[ Or so she guesses, at least - and even though she's sort of curious and does want to know, she doesn't want Yuri to have to say anything she doesn't want to. She's okay with not prying into people's lives, since she doesn't allow others to pry into hers the same way, really. ]

[ It's not that she doesn't trust Ange, it's more than she doesn't like to talk about that part. Not wanting to love anyone besides her siblings.. it's hard though. ]

[denies]

That's fine. [ and it's pretty genuine, you don't immediately have to tell her the story of your life, girl.. even if Yuri is prone to immediately springing that onto people. ]

If it's something you don't like to talk about, then that's just that. There's plenty of stuff people don't tell each other on the community, after all.

[ Yeah but no one ever gets this part even if it's a pretty easy conclusion, sob. ...Did Yuri even give Ange details beyond dead family and dead person though? ]

I know. Still doesn't mean I want you getting all sensitive over it so it's better to just give you an apology.

[ I'm not sure if she told the details.. I know she practically did that one time they were drunk but neither of them remembers that, at least. 8| ]

Don't worry, I'm not as sensitive as Battler onii-chan for example. [ if the constant deadpan compared to his fits of flipping things wasn't enough of a clue.. ]

[tenminutes]

[ Sob.. Yuri just forgot, it's nothing personal.. it'll come up eventually probably.. ]

He gets upset when I don't tell him things.

That's just the kind of person he is. He's just very sensitive to everything and will flip out over the smallest things.. I bet he would blow his top over me even daring to talk to anything remotely male on the community, too.

... Wait, why? [ she isn't making the connection just yet.. ] It's not like I care whether the person I talk to is a guy or a girl, why should I talk to every guy..?

It's not always like that between siblings, you know. Besides, I was twelve years younger than him, I never could even consider something like that.
