[ Yuri curls up a bit where she is, nudging her laptop closer for warmth. It's pretty much out of power at this point, but since it's the community and it's magic, she can just access that without the rest of her laptop. Even if she'd still slept in the mansion the past could of nights, she didn't really feel right about it so she was out in the chapel now. If she wasn't dead, she was 90% sure she would've caught a cold by now.
Part of her was sick of all of the Ushiromiyas at this point. Not just Battler. Battler for making her love him then making it impossible to trust him, sure. Ange for wanting to so easily give up the one thing that Yuri wished she could have and couldn't. Their parents for apparently having been the ones who caused all of this in the first place. Eva for having been a shitty step-mom to Ange. She didn't really know much about the others, so she couldn't really say much about whether or not she was pissed of dealing with them. Hell, make that almost everyone involved in this damn game. The only one who she wasn't all that pissed at, funnily enough, was Eva-Beatrice.
Yuri's not staying in the main house anymore. She'd wandered around and found a couch to sleep on at first, not really wanting to sleep in the same room as Battler and not wanting to tell Ange why she was having a fight with Battler in the first place to just ask to stay in her room. Not because she wouldn't tell Ange the truth. It was because she wanted to tell Ange the truth and as much as she knew that was the right thing to do and she hated that Battler wouldn't, it was would have taken away any chances of whatever Battler's plan was of working or possibly just ruined her relationship with Ange if she still wanted to believe Battler. There was no good of getting involved there, so she just wanted to stay the hell out of the way until she was needed to save his life, then she could just... she didn't even know. Yuri didn't feel good about any of this, which certainly explained why she was curled up on a damned pew in the chapel. Of all the ironic places she could've ended up given how long she'd spent claiming she was going to kick God's ass...
Yuri stared at Battler's post for a bit, watching him basically try to hit on every single girl who commented and saying things that go a bit farther than her boobs. If there was one thing to piss her off about this more, it would be that. She'd still tried to hold out a hand to him, make sure she gave him something for his birthday, and the first she hears from him is him being drunk off of his ass and asking to see everyone's tits. It hurt her that even while she was mad at him, he just got drunk and acted like he didn't care. She knew he did or he wouldn't be drunk, but he'd flat-out ignored her attempt to talk, then she'd tried to say something and deleted it herself because it was that idiot's birthday so she could at least give him a break then. ]
Damn..
[ She didn't really want to stay out in the chapel, but it was this or the rain since she didn't really feel comfortable inside.. Yuri pulled out her laptop and decided to type a few words, no video in deference to the fact that she was presently curled up in a ball on a pew with her blankets from the afterlife over her shoulders. She'd gone to get them herself a little earlier. ]

Does anyone have a waterproof tent? Maybe a little space heater. I'll pick it up myself and owe free worldhops to anyone who's got something. Or if you need something else instead let me know and we'll talk it over.
[ She could just go grab her mattress from the afterlife if she had a place to keep it, but she didn't have or know how to make a space heater or a waterproofed tent. Yuri was definitely too stubborn sometimes though. ]

Dry off so you don't catch a cold. I'll think about it and let you know, but for now just.. you can stay for now, alright?
[ She wasn't sure what she wanted to do. Yuri didn't want to abandon him or tell him that he couldn't be near her. She really didn't, but she had to make a stand so she just.. wouldn't tell him if he could stay the night or not. Not yet. ]

...Yeah, thanks.
[he whispered it to her, and he brought his hand up, palm turned up, and he conjured up a towel for him, he took that into both hands and brought it over his head, trying to dry his hair.]

[ The words just blurted out a few seconds after he let go to dry himself off. She was wet now too, because of him, but she didn't seem to be complaining about it. She just.. wanted him to know. More than anything, she needed to make sure that he knew that. ]
Even if I think that you're doing the wrong thing and I don't know that I can trust you because of it, I do. I don't think that's something that can change even if I want to punch you in the face.
no subject
[he said it right back to her, no hesitation at all, and he just continued to dry off his hair, the towel covering him and his face.]
...I know it's wrong. But... I'm not here to argue.
[he lifts his head up, the towel still on him, covering him like some kind of hood.]
I'm here to be with you, because you know I always only want you. I know none of what I'm doing is right but... she said it to me, she told me she wanted to truth so she could just die afterwards. As her brother I can't.... send her off to her death so easily.
I know you're mad and you have every right to be but... I simply can't... Yuri...

[ It was a valid question. She knew that it was difficult and she didn't want Ange to die either. She really didn't. That was what made it so difficult because she had to trust Battler to be able to do something, but she didn't know how to trust him when she knew he was lying.
There was pain apparent in her voice. As much as she'd tried to sound cheerful to everyone else, it was harder around Battler. Especially when he was like this. ]
I'll move back into the house, but I'm staying in Ange's room.

Yuri... my game is about moving forward. But to Ange, the past is everything, so before she can do that I need to have her understand some things. At the end I'm going to give her a key, and she can choose if this was all a lie, if it was a trick, or if magic really is real, and we're all with her no matter what. Even if our family is dead, we live on in her hearts.
[why yes, he is including himself in that.]
...And it'd be better if you were in my bed with me again... [that last part just sounds like a lonely kid saying it.]
no subject
[ Yuri mulled it over in her head, but the more she thought about that word "we" the more pissed she was getting about it. He kept including himself again and again and again. This wasn't the first time and she hated when he did it because even if he told her that he believed in her, it was things like that which meant he obviously didn't.
Normally she could handle it, but being okay with lying to Ange because it might make her feel better, hoping she'd get over it if she found out it was a lie... but not bothering with the one thing that stood a chance of becoming truth? That hurt. The lies he was giving Ange made it hard to trust him, but his distrust of her was what made it so much worse. Yuri's throat tightened a bit and she turned away from him, electing to just.. clean up the nail stuff as a distraction. ]
Two people who don't trust each other shouldn't sleep in the same bed, Battler.
no subject
...I'm sorry.
[his voice was small, weak, almost broken.]
I... I always trust you. I really do.
no subject
[ Yuri's tone was cool. She still wasn't facing him for now. There had to be some way she could at least try to trust him, some way that she could get him to show her. The only way she could think of was red text and that was full of all kinds of loopholes all the time, but... if it was specific enough and still true he'd be able to say it right. So Yuri turns her head down and to the left, still not facing him. ]
You always include yourself when you talk about the people who are going to die and I understand, even if I rescue you you're not going to go back to that Ange, but if she still has access to the community she'll have you and I don't think you're stupid enough to not know that. So...
[ Yuri turns around finally, her expression wasn't as cool or collected as her voice was. She looked nervous and upset, like she was really expecting him not to be able to do what she asked. ]
Say you believe that I can save you no matter what the odds in red. You don't have to say that I can or can't because there's no way of knowing that and you already know all of the fragments and everything, but I just want to hear that you believe I can do it.

....is what he wanted to add. but he knows he can't that he's really hurting her every time he brings that up as well.it's not fair to her, how bad he's being... how he hurts her by saying things he's not really thinking about, he just knows it to be true.
however, he can't deny her words, that she does need more truths in her life in order to feel better. but he does trust her, he does- and he believes in her, he just believes in the gameboard as well. he knows he'll die, but... he trusts that she'll prevent that.
he straightens up, taking that towel off his head he looks at her with a serious look, his dark eyes drilling into her green ones.]
Battler Ushiromiya believes in Yuri Nakamura. I believe and trust in you, that you'll be the one to save me from my fate no matter the odds.
[it was true, all of it.]
...And I welcome it, and will be waiting for it. [he whispers that last part.] I want to live for you and for everyone else.

It's only the fact that it's in the future tense that makes the vague phrasing he used a little better. She's still not sure about it because she's having such trouble trusting him and she was well aware that exact phrasing did matter with red text after he nearly had her believing he was already dead. ]
..Can you state that in the previous statement your "fate" refers to your death in 1986?
[ It's obvious as he stares in her eyes that she really, really wants to believe him but her trust levels right now are so fried because of this whole situation that she's not sure if she can without him saying it exactly. Her hands are gripped together so tightly right now that her nails are digging into her palms. The wet paint's already been messed up a little bit because of it, but right now...
She doesn't care, she just wants to hear it. ]

when she asks such a thing he can tell that she wants to trust him, she wants to believe him no matter what- and he's not exactly making it easy for her or anything. he knows deep down how wrong it all is.... and what he's done, what he will be doing in the future, she might as well not trust him.
but he'll tell her the truth about this for now.]
Battler Ushiromiya believes in and trusts Yuri Nakamura, that you'll save me from my death in 1986.
[he says it as clearly as she wants, and he had been frowning this whole time but finally his lips are pulled into a soft smile.]
I'm sorry I'm so difficult, Yuri.

Still... after another few seconds of staying quiet, she speaks up. ]
You can stay here with me until I decide to head up to Ange's room if you promise to help me get this stuff packed up when it's time to go.
[ She didn't know how long she would end up staying here with Battler. If it would be a few minutes or a few hours, or if she'd end up falling asleep with him out here in the rain in this tent... but she wanted to. If she at least knew that he trusted her, that she could trust that he trusted her.. it'd be enough to calm her down a little for now. ]
Get over here, stupid.

he just keeps looking at her, even when she's moving to flop down on to the mattress, but it seems like she'll at least get along with him for now, luckily. he crawls over to her, laying down beside her, behind her actually, and he brings an arm around her to pull her against him as they lay there.]
Let's stay... for a while. Please.
no subject
Yuri moved her hand up to touch his, playing with his fingers and muttering something underneath her breath, quiet enough that Battler probably could tell she said something, but have no idea what it was. She wasn't sure if she actually wanted him to hear or not, but the words "I miss you" were what had crossed her lips. ]
